An excellent video documentary/short film on Richard Butler the “artist” as opposed to Richard the “musician” that we all know and love.
In this short film Richard allows us into his studio at his home in Beacon, New York, and he discusses the cycle of how his paintings emerge from inception and the often iterative progression that ensues.
On a completely different note - nice choice of drinking vessel and also good to see a cute pussy on his armchair.

Butler to be knighted
News has just come through from an admittedly “unreliable source” that Richard Butler is to be knighted as part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations… expect an official announcement soon…
Meanwhile The Furs “Jubilee Tour” is fast becoming a sellout.. London Called and has sold out… all other dates are almost sold-out.. The Queen has asked Sir Richard (to be) and The Furs to play Buckingham Palace, but Richard has said he has “other pressing engagements”… The Queen was said to be “not amused”.
